An ode to a little community, that was once mostly fields dotted with a hotel, restaurant and little homes, is being served up as inspiration for a new beverage at a local burger joint.
“The Clappison” was lovingly created by retired bartender Roy Whiston, who spent a lifetime mastering the art of creating one-of-a-kind cocktails.
If you ask the team behind the family-run Real Burger in Waterdown, they’ll tell you the name of their restaurant is something they don’t take lightly.
There is nothing better than starting the week off with a delicious, tasty burger, which is what Tim Bolen did at Real Burger in Waterdown. But besides their delicious burgers, there is also the great story of how this family business came to be.
What do you get when you combine a nutritionist, a photographer and smash burgers? A family run restaurant worth visiting. Smash burgers are made of meat with no fillers or binding agents. The loosely formed patties get smashed onto a superhot flat top to cook in their own juices, developing a flavourful sear and making diners swoon.
